Ranthambhore National Park Safari Details
Please click www.vatikaresortranthambore.com
Only 14 Jeeps are permitted to go inside the Park at any one time. This has been done to avoid over crowding inside the Park. As a result, there is a huge demand for such vehicles and it is not easy at all to book them. They can not be booked in advance and so there are no guarantees that you would get one. The best that we can do is try real hard. At the time off booking of jeeps, the entire entry fees have to be paid to the forest department (a Government body). In case of cancellations, the forest department does not offer any refund. Seats on the safari bus (Canter) are not booked in advance and visitors can request for these on arrival at Ranthambhore. There is no fee for still cameras. For video cameras, one has to pay an entry fee for every visit. The rate for the jeeps is for hiring the vehicle (for 1-4 persons). The rate for the canter is on a per person basis. There are two safaris every day. Please send us email for the same.

"The best way to experience the magic of Ranthambhore"
Ranthambhore, perhaps the best place in the world to sight a tiger in the wild. The Ranthambhore National Park has had more tiger sightings than any other national park in the country. It has come to be known as “The Land of Tigers”, where most of the documented footage of this majestic beast has been recorded.
"Get away from the stress of everyday life – the sound, the pollution, the monotony for an Eco-Holiday."
Ranthambhore National Park
Ranthambhore National Park is probably the jewel in the crown of Project Tiger, the initiative establishment by Late Ex-Prime Minister Mrs. Indira Gandhi in 1973 to protect Bengal Tigers and their habitat throughout the subcontinent.
The Ranthambhore National Park was the hunting ground of Maharaja of Jaipur. In 1955, it was declared as a game sanctuary, with the commission of Project Tiger in 1973, it was included in the project and in 1980. it became a national park. The Ranthambhore Park is set between the Aravalli and Vindhya range. Its deciduous forest were once a part of the magnificent jungles of Central India. The terrain is rugged and there are rocky ridges, hill and open valleys with lakes and pools.Today, it is famous for its tigers and is one of the best places in the country to see majestic predators in the wild. The tigers can be spotted quite often even during the day, at their normal pursuits – hunting and taking care of their young ones. With the strict measures that have been taken for their conservation, they seem quite accustomed to human activity and are not disturbed by it.
Park Population
Tiger is a magical creature on the mind of every wildlife lover on earth. The mystery and power of tiger excites one and all. You can imagine the thrill of tracking down tigers at the crack of the dawn, with early morning sun filtering through the dense canopy of trees, you start out on the trail of a tiger in open jeeps. You might spot pugmarks, the drag of a kill, bouncing deer, a herd of running sambhars or exotic birds perched on a tree. You are just well on your way to a rendezvous with the beast of the jungle, the biggest thrill for any wildlife enthusiast! The tigers are the prized attraction of the park. Other inmates of the park are the Antelopes, Nilgai, Sambhar, and Chital, which are easy to spot. Those who are lucky enough get to see the Sloth Bear, Wild Boar, Chinkara, Porcupines and Jackals, Leopard, Jungle Cat and Marsh Crocodile. .The lakes and water holes in the park are the best places to sight the animals. These water bodies are full of lotus and water lilies. Ranthambhore also has a sizeable bird population, both resident and migratory. There are about 264 species of birds found within the park.
